Will Nvidia powered intelligent robots

Nvidia hopes to play a bigger role in the future of Robotics platform with Isaac, driven by the new system Jetson Xavier. If that name sounds familiar, that is because it relies on a single processor by Xavier Drive, which is a full-fledged SoC. Xavier is over 20 times faster than the existing platform, TX2 Jetson reveals Computex today on the company is ceo Jensen Huang. While the latter is useful for SoC products such as robots and unmanned supply machines, Huang called Xavie "the first computer in the world for intelligent robots". The heart of Jetson Xavier has six different processor: 8-core CPU Arm; Volta Tensor Core GPU; two NVDLA chips for deep learning, and Visual, video and graphics processors. Xavier is capable of 30 trillion operations per second and uses over 9 billion transistor. Just as with municipal cars, all this power will help with things like processing of sensors and computer vision. In the end, a robot will not be truly smart until you can easily maneuver in any environment and to interact naturally with humans and other machines.

Xavier Jetson is the core of the platform for robotics Isaac of Nvidia, which follows the initiative the company announced that Isaac last year at Computex, and its software development kit for intelligent robots. Sticking with the topic "Newton", the company introduced today and Isaac Sim-virtual learning environment of smart robots. Nvidia last year showed a simpler version of this Simulator, but this latest version is specifically set up for training machines, powered by the new SoC.

Developers will be able to get hold of Jetson Xavier for $1299 by August. At this price it is not something that you should expect in a typical custom widget. But we hope that this will lead to more impressive robots from the ASUS Zenbo.
