The original PI Raspberry and Raspberry PI2 are produced in several different configurations of the circuit board according to the licence agreements with the manufacturers. One of them, Egoman, produces a version for distribution solely for Taiwan. The hardware is the same for all producers.
The original single-die PI system Raspberry represent the company, including Broadcom CPU 700 MHz ARM1176JZF-S, image processor and VideoCore IV, 256 MB RAM memory at the beginning, as was subsequently increased to 512 MB models B and B +. The system features slots Secure Digital (SD) (models A and B) or MicroSD (models A B + and +) to load the operating system and as a repository for data.
The Foundation provides for downloading Linux distributions Debian and Arch Linux ARM. And tools are provided for the use of the Basic programming language for the platform – Python, BBC BASIC supported (via RISC OS or Linux Basic Brandy for clone), C, C++, Java, Perl and Ruby.

At the beginning of February 2015 onwards was officially presented the second generation Raspberry PI2. At the beginning the new device comes in only one configuration (model B) and use the Broadcom BCM2836 SoC with quad-core processor ARM Cortex-A7, dual-core graphics processor VideoCore IV and 1 GB RAM memory, the other characteristics are similar to those of the model B + from the first generation. PI2 Raspberry preserves the same price of $35 as a model B, model $20-and more is on sale.
